Daily Devotion – December 22

Day 356 – December 22

God with us

“Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you. ‘I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.”
Leviticus 26:11-12

It’s not often we find our excitement in the book of Leviticus. Even though much of the Levitical law isn’t applicable to us directly because it was specifically a Jewish law, there is so much of Leviticus that points us to Jesus. God not only made His dwelling place among us, He lives in us and now we have Him with us at all times. As we walk and go through our lives, He is among us and the strength in which we walk is now from God. Being His people isn’t about what we accomplish but about what He already accomplished and who He is! He has a made a place for us in heaven and lives in and works through us here and now. That is why we can live and walk in freedom every day. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Today wherever you go and whatever you are tasked to do, remember this: God came to us when we had no hope, and He sent Jesus to become a man even though He was fully God to live, love, suffer, and die for all of us so we could live with Him forever. Living with God and Him in us doesn’t begin when we die. For all of us who have trusted Him as Lord, it began that wonderful day of our salvation. Our purpose and hope is found nowhere else but in the presence of our amazing God.

We’re more than conquerors in Christ.
