Daily Devotion – December 7

Day 341 – December 7

God with us

9 And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.
Acts 18:9-10

You know that feeling you get when you feel you are about to share something about Jesus or your own testimony of what God did? Fear begins to creep into our hearts and the anxiety of sharing our faith in Christ often times leads us to silence instead of the boldness we should have from Christ. We must daily remind ourselves that the enemy will do anything he can to cause us to remain silent, but we must do as the Lord told Paul in Acts 18 and go on speaking, He is with us. Anytime we we get a chance to show and share the love of Jesus we must do so, but we must also realize it’s not our jobs to be cute or relevant more than society but to simply walk in the freedom Christ has given us and speak the truth of His love. Often times the greatest hindrance to the good news of Jesus reaching the world is our good intentions to dress it up and make it more than it really is. Look, the gospel is too good to be true and we all feel the burden of talking people into believing it, but we don’t have to do that. We simply go in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and HE will change their hearts and minds. So today wherever you live work or play go on speaking and let your light shine. HE is with you and no one can take His love and grace away from you.

We’re more than conquerors in Christ.
